The boats we use at Cosmoledo are put through some very demanding conditions. The general rule of thumb on this trip is that everyone fishes pretty hard. Most guests, once they realize how good the fishing is, tend to want to take full advantage of the time they have at Cosmoledo. Early mornings and late afternoons are common and the only mode of transportation around the atoll is the zodiacs.

There are two zodiacs that we fish from. These boats are very stable and durable so whether you are just being run out to the bonefish flats to be dropped off or are working the edge of a rip tide in blue water for GT's or wahoo, the zodiacs are very comfortable to fish out of. At night, the zodiacs are stowed on the second deck of the ship and each morning are lowered down to the water by the crane, which is located at the back of the ship.

The boats are powered by two stroke Yamaha 85 horse power engines, which is all the power we need in this marine environment. Both the captains, Patrick and David are experts at handling the boats in all weather conditions and can land virtually all manner and size of fish. These two gentlemen are true professionals and can be relied upon at all times.

A third smaller boat should be available for our April 11-18 and 18-25, 2008 trips. It has a two stroke 25 horse power Yamaha engine and is suitable for 3 guests. We will have confirmation on this by mid January of 2008.
